The Telugu word ‘Kshanam’ translates in English as ‘The Moment’ and from the way, PVP Cinema, the motion picture company that is producing it in association with Matinee Entertainment, is promoting this product has already been making waves, weeks ahead of its proposed release in the first week of March.

Directed by debutant Ravikanth Perepu, the story has been written by Sesh Adivi, who also plays the lead, while the screenplay has been scripted by the duo, together, in this suspense thriller that revolves around the case of a missing three-year-old girl. The two ladies in the cast - Adah Sharma of Puri Jagannath’s ‘Heart Attack’ and popular anchor Anasuya Bharadwaj, who plays a cop, are said to have essayed pivotal roles that are a blend of character and their inherent glamour.

Into its final stages of production, what is interesting is the enormous response that its theatrical trailer that was released by actor Mahesh Babu, generated among the people, garnering a whopping 3 lakh hits on Youtube.

Director Puri Jagannath apart, acclaimed Bollywood critic Taran Adarsh too lent their image to its publicity by posting their appreciation on the social media, said an obviously-excited director Ravikanth. Others in the cast include ‘Vennela’ Kishore and ‘Satyam’ Rajesh, Ravi Varma and Satyadev. “Kishore and Rajesh, who are normally categorised as comedians are seen as ‘full-on’ characters with a dark humour, added the director.

Simply put, ‘Kshanam’ takes the viewer from the dusty bylanes of Golconda to Hyderabad’s financial district, the beaches of Visakhapatnam and San Francisco too, as the protagonist wanders around, to uncover the mystery.

From the dusty by-lanes of Golconda to Hyderabad’s financial district, from the beaches of Vizag to the streets of San Francisco, Kshanam’s story follows the protagonist as he traverses all these places to uncover a mystery bigger than he could have ever imagined. Shaneil Deo, the American cinematographer, who was nominated at Cannes in 2015 captures the storyline is said to have candidly captured the storyline.

Dialogues have been penned by Abburi Ravi of ‘Bommarillu’ and ‘Kick’ fame, while Sricharan Pakala has composed the music.

Lyrics were created by Sirasri and Ramajogayya Sastry, while director Ravikanth has lent his expertise in editing.
