Rain, heat wave to continue for next two days in Telangana

Hyderabad records 40°C following rain in some parts of the city.

While rainfall, even thunderstorms, is likely to occur in isolated places all over Telangana, the Met Department is continuing to warn the public about the heat wave conditions persisting for the next two days in Adilabad, Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Mahabubnagar, Medak, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Ranga Reddy and Warangal districts.

The light to moderate rains at a few places led to appreciable fall in maximum temperatures at one or two places. Yet they were also above normal at a few other places. The highest maximum temperature of 44 degree Celsius was recorded at Adilabad, Medak, Nalgonda, Nizamabad and Ramagundam.

Other high day temperatures of 43 degree Celsius occurred at Bhadrachalam, Hanmakonda, Khammam and Mahabubnagar. Hyderabad and Hakimpet recorded a relatively low of 40 degree Celsius. Karimnagar recorded 2 cm of rain, Saroornagar, Thimmapur, Maheswaram and Gangadhara recorded 2 cm of rain, Mustabad, Domakonda, Jagityal, Ramagundam and Mallial recorded 1 cm rainfall.
