The city police on Friday resolved the mystery behind the murder of a rag-picker, Ganesh, with the arrest of his friend Deepak Singh. He killed Ganesh for allegedly maintaining illicit relationship with his girl friend. Enraged over this, Singh hatched a plan to kill him. Singh hosted a party for Ganesh at Kacheguda on July 19 and after consuming liquor, he picked up an argument with Ganesh and attacked Ganesh with a knife killing him on the spot. With the information collected from the victim’s friends, the police nabbed Singh and remanded him to judicial custody.
