Opposition leaders arrive on bullock-cart.

Four Congress MLAs rode a bullockcart from Gandhi Bhavan to the Assembly to convey that the party was farmer friendly but the TRS government belied expectations of the farm sector by going back on its promise to waive crop loans up to Rs. one lakh.

The MLAs on the cart included S. Vamshichand Reddy, S.A. Sampath Kumar, G. Vittal Reddy and veteran P. Kishta Reddy who held the rope tied to the bull. A stick holding the whip was decorated with the party colours.

Pay respects to martyrs memorial

The police set up obstacles to the cart right from Nampally but the MLAs managed to steer it up to the Telangana Martyrs Memorial in front of Assembly where they paid respects to the column and walked into the premises. The procession threw traffic out of gear when the road was packed with vehicles of office going commuters.

The MLAs kept arguing with police officials throughout the route.
