Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has instructed officials from the Finance department to arrange salaries for State government employees on September 25 as Bathukamma and Dussehra festivals are at the month-end and the observance of Mohaarum is on October 1.

The Chief Minister also asked the officials to release DA to be paid to the employees. TNGOs president and secretary Sri Karam Ravinder Reddy, M. Rajender, and TNGOs founder president Srinivas Goud met the CM at Pragati Bhavan and requested that this month’s salary be paid to the employees on September 25, and release of DA (2.096) first instalment for this year. The Chief Minister responded to their request positively. He wanted the salaries to be paid on 25th of the month and release of the DA at the earliest. Dearness Allowance, which is 22.008% at present, would be increased by 2.096% to become 24.104%.

This is effective from January 1 next. Total financial implication for meeting the commitment is ₹580 crore per annum.
