Jana Sena founder the film actor turned politician Pawan Kalyan wholeheartedly welcomed Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s proposal for a non-BJP, non-Congress alternative at the national level.
He said his party Jana Sena extended its full support to the alternative claiming that the proposal was mooted in the light of the failure of the national parties to fulfil the regional aspirations. The presence of an alternative was justified as it would make sure that there was no complacency on the part of the national parties in addressing the regional needs.
The alternative would also give scope for infusing new blood into the existing political system and this could usher in the desired change in line with the changing needs of the people.
Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao, on his part, was a seasoned politician and capable of leading the alternative. This could be seen from the manner in which he led the separate Telangana movement for 14 long years and ensured that the State was carved out. “Mr. Rao has an in-depth understanding of the people’s issues and I hope that his efforts will yield successful results,” he said.
