Telangana government has invited nominations for the Telangana Excellence Awards to be presented on the Independence Day.
The Committee constituted by the government to finalise the modalities for selection of TEX awards met at the Secretariat here on Wednesday with Special Chief Secretary, Planning, B.P.Acharya in the chair. The TEX awards would be presented in the categories of Flagship programmes — Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya, Kalyana Lakshmi/Shaadi Mubarak, Arogya Lakshmi and Haritha Haram — General Category and Innovation Category.
A release said that the nominations could be uploaded between June 2 and 17 through the Telangana State Portal – telangana.gov.in., which will be facilitated by the IT department. The screening will be done by June 30 with the help of Centre for Good Governance and field visits by designated teams to short listed project will be between July 1 and 15. After which the panel of selected nominees will be placed for final scrutiny by the committee before recommending to the government for TEX awards, the release added.
