The Water Board has no plans to increase tariff for either domestic or non-domestic water tankers supplied by it.
Any consumer, whether a Consumer Account Number (CAN) holder or not, can book a tanker for domestic purpose but only through Metro Consumer Care (No. 155313) at Rs. 400 in GHMC or even from Cantonment Board area. The facility of booking through Metro Consumer Care for domestic tankers is extended to non-Consumer Account Number holders also.
For non-domestic water tankers, the consumers can book either through Metro Consumer Care or the filling station concerned. However, first priority will be given to Metro Consumer Care bookings, according to a release.
