City-based NephroPlus has entered into partnership with Andhra Pradesh government to offer dialysis in government hospitals of remote towns in the state. As part of the agreement, NephroPlus will setup facilities for haemodialysis in 13 towns, one in every district of AP, with an aim to make the facility available to those suffering with kidney failure living in far-flung areas. Announcing the partnership at a press conference here on Friday, the company’s CEO Vikram Vuppala said the government will pay the company Rs. 967 for every session of dialysis. When asked about tie-ups with Telangana government, Mr. Vuppala said the TRS government has set unrealistic clauses for partnering with dialysis providers, including use of disposable dialysers.
