NCC cadets raise funds for Flag Day

NCC cadets of 11 Telangana NCC Battalion, Khammam, participated in a fund raising programme held on the occasion of the Armed Forces Flag Day here on Thursday.

The programme was organised by the Regional Sainik Welfare Office in honour of the valiant and martyred defence personnel.

The programme was organised under the supervision of Regional Sainik Welfare Officer Chandrasekhar and Subedar Major Tarun Kumar Manna.

NCC cadets, both girls and boys, from various town-based colleges went around the town as part of a nation-wide annual campaign aimed at promoting voluntary contributions to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund.

People from all walks of life donated money to the “Armed Forces Flag Day Fund” towards the welfare of serving personnel, martyrs, ex-servicemen and their families.
