Yet another narcotic drug module was busted – third in a row in past six days – in Hyderabad on Saturday by the Telangana Prohibition and Excise (P&E) officials.

Two persons, a Hyderabadi and a Nigerian, were arrested while 12 grams of cocaine was seized from them. Information about the duo was received by the P&E officials through the toll-free number –1800 425 2523– started by them three days ago to pass on information about drug peddlers. Acting on the input, special teams of the P&E wing raided the house of Mohd. Zeshan Ali Khan in Muradnagar of Mehdipatnam late on Friday night. Seven grams of cocaine and a mobile phone were seized from him.

While the suspect Bernard Wilson, later identified as a Nigerian, was caught, the other person who apparently came there to purchase cocaine from him managed to flee. Seven grams of cocaine and three mobile phones were seized from him. Later, they searched his house in Sun City of Golconda where his passport was found.

“He maintains that he procured cocaine from Goa or from a friend called Kenneth who used to send it through courier service,” the officials said. The foreigner refused to part with any information and repeatedly said he didn’t know anything when they interrogated him.
