Mystery shrouds death of ninth grade student

Mystery shrouds the death of the class ninth student who was found hanging to a tree at Bhavaninagar on Thursday morning. The boy, Mirza Ahmed Ali Baig (14), of Razanagar in Bhavaninagar left his house the previous night saying that he was going out on some work.

On Thursday morning he was found hanging to a tree near Unique School in Mohammednagar of Bhavaninagar while his clothes were hung to a tree. On receipt of information the police reached the spot and shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination. Later, the body was handed over to the family members.

Tension prevailed in the area for sometime in the morning following reports of the boy being strangulated and hanged to the tree. “We have registered a case of suspicious death and sent the body for post mortem examination. Basing on the medical reports further action will be taken in the case,” Inspector of Bhavaninagar, B Srinivasa Rao said.

Antique idol seized

The Commissioner’s Task Force (North) team on Thursday arrested a person Mukaddis Hussain alias Mukaddis at Langar Houz and seized an antique idol of Lord Mahavira worth Rs. 50 lakh from him. The accused person brought the idol from Uttar Pradesh and was planning to sell it to people in the city and earn huge money, the police said. The police are making efforts to nab his accomplice Gyan Singh who helped him in getting the idol.
