Terror suspect, Mujeeb Ahmed, who was held guilty of sedition and planning to wage war against the State, was sentenced to life by a local court on Friday. Six other accused in the case were punished with 10-year-rigorous imprisonment by the First Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge, Nampally.

The Mujeeb, his female accomplice, Johra Nishat, brother-in-law Jahangir Khan, truck driver, Shabbir Ahmed, cleaner, Ravindra Kumar, Mohammed Yasin and Awad, were convicted by the judge on Thursday.

Mujeeb of Tolichowki, who was released for good conduct while serving a life term after being convicted for the murder of Additional S.P., Krishna Prasad, was caught in 2005 on charge of procuring arms to wage war against the State in collusion with Pakistan's Inter Service Intelligence and some terrorist outfits.

He was supposed to receive firearms hidden in a truck carrying marble slabs from Kashmir to Hyderabad via Ajmer. The alleged ISI agent was arrested on inputs from Rajasthan police and charge-sheeted.
