Lok Satta Party national President Jayaprakash Narayan has said he extended support to BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi as he is committed to providing jobs to youth by reviving the manufacturing sector and ensuring good governance.

Addressing a media conference here on Friday, he said the UPA Government had squandered a golden opportunity given to it for the last 10 years by indulging in and promoting corruption, destroying the economy by neglecting manufacturing sector and resorting to politics of temporary sops to garner votes.

India still has a window of opportunity to replace China as the workshop of the world. China was exiting from low-value manufacturing with a decline in working age population and rising wages. But India has vast human resources and requisite technology to become a manufacturing giant and provide jobs.

The voters in Malkajgiri constituency already decided to vote against Congress, he said an added that Mr. Modi rose to became a leader whose credentials have nothing to do with dynasty, caste or religion or money power.

He vowed to improve civic conditions in Jawaharnagar and surroundings where nearly 400 tonnes of garbage collected from city was dumped in Jawaharnagar that formed part of Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency. As the garbed was dumped without any processing or treatment in open landfills, it was polluting the land, air and water in a radius of 15 km.
