Migrant’s body to be flown in from Riyadh

The body of V. Srinivas, hailing from Parigi of Vikarabad district in Telangana, who ‘committed suicide while being in police custody’ in connection with a road accident nearly two months ago, is likely to arrive here in two days.

Srinivas of Ibrahimpur thanda was working as a driver with a Saudi Arabia national in Riyadh. He was arrested by the local police there in a road accident case this February. He reportedly ended his life by hanging himself in the washroom at the police station being in custody, M. Bheem Reddy, vice-president of Migrants Rights’ Council, said.

Srinivas’ family had been representing to the State and Central governments for the past several weeks to ensure his body was brought to India.
