Man sets ATM on fire

February 12, 2018 12:12 am | Updated 12:12 am IST - Hyderabad

An unidentified man set ablaze an ATM of Indian Overseas Bank in KPHB Colony at around 3.25 a.m on Sunday using inflammable substance.

“The ATM and two CCTV cameras were burnt in the incident,” said Ch. Kushalkar, inspector, KPHB.

He added that there was no damage to the cash in the machine.

The miscreant left behind a 17-page note in English, which he claims to be a manifesto to the entire world.

He also mentioned that if the media doesn’t broadcast his manifesto within 24 hours, he will commit suicide and the ‘whole world’ would be responsible for it.

The manifesto had been posted to all major media houses in the city about a week ago.

Based on a complaint, police have registered a case and a probe is under way.
