The first edition of The Hindu Friday Review Music Festival in Hyderabad will be held between November 10 and 14 at Ravindra Bharathi. The four-day festival will be a treat to the lovers of fusion, films, ghazals and spiritual genres.
Launched in Chennai in 2005, this unique musical event has become an important event in the city’s cultural calendar, showcasing some of the finest musicians from India and abroad.
The Hyderabad fest opens with renowned Carnatic vocalist Aruna Sairam performing – for the second time ever- a concert of abhangs. The young and vibrant group, Yodhaka will perform on the second day while Tina Sani, a contemporary voice from Pakistan will treat the audience to ghazals on the third day. The Last day of the festival is dedicated to the Hindi Retro – a melange of Hindi film music down the ages till the 1980s.
Tickets are priced at Rs. 1000, Rs. 750, Rs. 500 & Rs. 250. Tickets can be purchased online at ‘www.hindu.com/novemberfest’ and ‘www.indianstage.in’ or at Landmark in Banjara Hills and Begumpet, Walden at Begumpet, Music World in Banjara Hills, Begumpet, Kothapet and Kukatpally, Sangeeth Sagar in Secunderabad and at Ravindra Bharathi. Season passes are also available for Rs. 3,500, Rs. 2,500 and Rs. 1, 500.
