The Telangana Government through a sworn affidavit by its senior officer told the Hyderabad High Court that in the process of procuring lands there was no force or coercion against land owners in any form by the procuring agency.
If land owners were not inclined to sell their lands under G.O. No 123 and if the land was inevitable for public purpose, the land-procuring agencies of the State will follow due procedure under the law for acquiring those lands.
This affidavit was filed by Special Chief Secretary K. Pradeep Chandra in a case filed by Upender Reddy and 14 others who are affected by proposed land acquisition for Mallananasagar Reservoir.
The bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Dilip B. Bhosale and Justice P. Naveen Rao took on record the affidavit and closed the case.

A division bench of the Hyderabad High Court comprising Acting Chief Justice Dilip B. Bhosale and Justice P. Naveen Rao on Thursday declared that such of the petitioner employees of state-owned corporations of A.P. who are in service as on Thursday shall be continued in the job till July 20.
