The Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA) will distribute over five lakh saplings among citizens of tri-cities Warangal, Hanamkonda and Kazipet. KUDA Chairman Marri Yadava Reddy said that they were having 40 different varieties of plants and people were free to choose among them from July 12. Mr. Reddy said they had grown eight lakh saplings at two nurseries - at Battupalli and Madipally and all of them would be planted at various locations in the tri-cities. "We will give three lakh saplings to Warangal municipal corporation and we will plant 10,000 saplings at Madipally. The rest will be distributed among people,” he explained.The KUDA will open outlets in the city to distribute saplings and hold a meeting with the residents’ welfare associations to discuss about the ensuing Haritha Haram programme.
