KTR reviews projects ofwater board, HMDA

Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development K. T. Rama Rao, during a review meeting on Wednesday asked the officials of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) to study the feasibility of an interconnected grid that would facilitate combined usage of Krishna and Godavari waters for the city, and submit the report in one week.

He issued directions to the officials for qualitative construction of the ring main via ORR, which would bring Godavari water to areas hitherto supplied Manjeera water.

Reviewing the HMDA projects, Mr. Rama Rao asked the officials to complete phase-wise installation of LED lights on the ORR, PVNR Express Highway, and Hussainsagar by Deepavali. He gave the officials time up to month-end for the processing of LRS applications.
