A meeting between senior Telangana Telugu Desam leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday evening sparked off speculation in political circles that the TDP leader was planning to cross over to Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).
When contacted, Mr. Dayakar Rao, however, scotched at such a possibility and maintained that he would continue to remain in Telugu Desam.
Significantly, he said that Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao had invited him to join TRS during the interaction and that he had not responded.
He maintained that he had called on Mr. Rao on behalf of Velamas Association to discuss certain problems but declined to elaborate.
It is learnt that Mr. Dayakar Rao was feeling slighted over the importance being given to another TDP leader Revanth Reddy by the party leadership.
In the recent past, former Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, a senior TDP leader from Khammam, quit the party along with his supporters and joined TRS.
