Former MLA and senior BJP leader Yendala Lakshminarayana has ridiculed the Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s derogatory remarks on the community lunch organised by his party national president Amit Shah at a Dalit locality in Nalgonda district stating that the TRS leader lacked that sincerity and good gesture towards the oppressed sections.

Poll promise

At a press conference, here on Monday, Lakshminarayana said that KCR had no moral right to criticise the BJP’s commitment towards Dalits as he deceived them by not honouring his promise of making Dalit a Chief Minister which was one his many poll promises that were not kept, he said.

Alleging that the TRS Government had diverted the funds released under Prime Minister Fasal Bima Yojana intended to ensure crop insurance for farmers, he said that it indicated that TRS had no concern for the problems of farmers. KCR could not keep his promise of distribution of three-acre land to each landless Dalit family, he added.
