And playing the title role, albeit casting herself in a tough and different mould, is actress Kalyani.

That's ‘Auto Bharathi', the new serial that started on Gemini TV this week and has Kalyani appearing in an interesting role. The serial is scheduled at 7.30 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

Forced by financial crisis in the family, Bharathi takes up the profession of auto driving and failing to get support from the elder brother, she is forced to take care of parents and also the education of sisters.

A rich businessman falls in love with her and more questions and emotions come to the fore.

The presence of Kalyani on the small screen with this serial is sure to be watched closely both by viewers as well as by the industry.

‘Bhale Chance Le', the show on Maa TV celebrates its golden jubilee episode on Tuesday and for its 50th episode had Suma and Jhansi joining the proceedings with their children.

Telecast on Mondays and Tuesdays at 9 p.m., the show is anchored by Suma while cheer girls and interesting rounds in the competition adds an edge of glamour and fun element.

Celebrity presence and easy format of the show has caught on with both participants and viewers.
