The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2013 was conducted at 13 centres in the capital on Sunday. Across the country, 1,50,000 students, who cleared JEE Main exam held in April, 2013 were eligible for taking JEE Advanced examination for nearly 10,000 seats in 16 IITs. JEE Advanced is an offline examination.
Under paper I category, there were 60 questions for total 180 marks from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each subject had 20 questions and the pattern was same for all subjects. Most students said that physics questions were bit easier, while those from chemistry were little difficult.
Similar to Paper 1, Paper II also had a total of 180 marks. The questions were set in the order of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and each subject had 3 sections, including one or more options correct type, paragraph type and matching list type.
They were a bit similar to the “Match the following” type questions in the last AIEEE exam. Students said that physics was bit more difficult in Paper II, said Ajay Antony, Course Director, JEE Training, T.I.M.E. in his analysis.
