IT officials meet on strategies

Senior officials from region participate

Around 60 senior officers of the Income Tax Department, in the South Zone, participated in a zonal conference held here on Monday and deliberated on a range of issues, including budget targets, strategies for augmenting collections and functionalities in the Income Tax Business Application.

Challenges and formulation of road map for faceless and jurisdiction-less environment to re-engineered process of assessments, formulating standardised and industry-specific questionnaires, upcoming innovations and expected changes in the functioning of the Income Tax Department were discussed at the conference, an official release said.

The release from the office of the Principal CCIT, Hyderabad, said Member (IT) of the Central Board of Direct Taxes Rajendra Kumar, chaired the conference. Principal Chief Commissioners of IT, Chief Commissioners of IT, Principal Commissioners of IT and Commissioners of IT in the south zone, comprising Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karnataka, Kerala and Goa participated.

Director General, Research and Innovation, Telangana government Ajit Rangnekar, and chief coach of Indian Badminton team Pullela Gopichand spoke on leadership and innovation; and constraint management and mentoring, respectively, the release said.
