In order to effectively improve civic and transport infrastructure in the IT corridor, the Information Technology Facilities & Admin Managers Network (IT FAN) was launched recently. The IT FAN will consist of facilities professionals working in various corporate firms in the Cyberabad region.
The initiative was launched by V. Rajanna, vice-president & global head, Telecom Business of TCS, Hyderabad. Mr. Rajanna said that nothing could move in the corporate world without the help of the facilities wing and felt that it would get its due recognition in the coming years.
The association will be a connecting platform for all the facilities and administration professionals with Industrial, Government and any other regulatory authority. The association aims to find solutions together for all the challenges that they face in the profession.
“Facilities Managers handle the office infrastructure, security, transport and Administration. This requires wide range of market knowledge and networking with internal and external groups. Facilities managers handle the second biggest budget spending responsibilities in any Information Technologies companies. IT FAN like professional forums help in knowledge sharing and also provides broad networking opportunity,” said V. Srinivasa Prasad, Secretary, Society for Cyberabad Security Council.
