IIL forays into the herbal market for animal health

Launches spray for treatment of all types of open wounds

Indian Immunologicals Ltd (IIL) has made foray into the herbal market pertaining to the health of domestic animals, valued at ₹ 480 crore, with the launch of ‘Zuspray’ on Thursday.

The herbal ingredients in ‘Zuspray’ would help in the treatment of all types of open wounds, including surgical wounds, said a release from the Hyderabad-based wholly owned subsidiary of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB). IIL managing director K. Anand Kumar said ‘Haridra’, a key herbal ingredient in ‘Zuspray’, facilitates quick action in treatment of edematous swellings and other types of skin lesions. The multifaceted action of the product would be useful as a topical application against myiasis, foot lesions in FMD, yoke galls, scabies, eczema, degnella, ringworm and dermatomycosis.

A release from IIL said the foray is part of the company’s diversification strategy and in the coming years.

Zuspray, available in 100 ml spray bottles, would be sold at all retail shops in India dealing with animal health products.
