The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) on Tuesday announced the three toppers in the CA final examinations held in May 2016 — S. Sriram (Salem) at top spot with 76.63 marks, followed by Kantheti Naga Venkata Viswa Upendra (Vijayawada) with 76.25 marks, and Yash Manoj Kumar Goyal from Jamnagar with 74.88 marks. In a press release, ICAI president M. Devaraja Reddy said the profession of chartered accountancy was much sought-after, and preparing CA professionals as future managers with the required core competency was the institute’s primary objective. He said ICAI had high hopes from students as it considered them to be highly committed, focussed and hard-working individuals who imbibed the virtues of excellence.
