GHMC seizes four cars, furniture

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Thursday executed warrants and seized four cars and some furniture from Sri Lakshmi Gayathri Hotels (Hotel Katriya), Somajiguda, seeking property tax dues amounting to Rs.3.40 crore.

The seized vehicles included Toyota Camry, Honda CRV, Maruti Alto and Hyundai Eon, according to a press release. GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar said the hotel management later paid tax of Rs.1 crore by way of three cheques and promised to pay the balance amount within short period.
