Civil Services officers and Heads of the Departments (HoDs) of Telangana will have an opportunity to showcase their excellence in the services delivered to people and get rewarded on the Independence Day this year.
The awards will be given as a part of the Civil Services Day to be celebrated on April 20 and 21 in the State. A committee that was constituted to select the officials for the awards met under the chairmanship of B. P. Acharya, Special Chief Secretary, and discussed the modalities to be adopted for the selection. Mr. Acharya said the awards would be considered in three categories - flagship programmes like Mission Kakatiya, Mission Bhagiratha among others, general category and also under innovation.
The committee would select the nominees with due process of scrutiny and transparency. Officials have to apply online on their works for consideration. The process would be initiated on the Civil Services Day and completed before August 15 for giving the awards on the Independence Day.
