As part of the Telanganaku Haritha Haram programme, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) will take up plantation with 20 lakh saplings.
The plantation programme to be carried out from July 3 to 10 would cover 395.77 acres at 14 locations, institutional/block plantation and foreshore and bund plantation along lakes. The avenue plantation would be spread over 458.50 km, according to a press release. The Urban Forestry wing of HMDA had also made arrangements for free distribution of saplings from various parks of HMDA including KBR Walkway, Jubilee Hills, Dr.G.S. Melkote Park, Narayanguda, Indira Priyadarshini Park, Saroornagar, Rajiv Gandhi Park, Vanasthalipuram apart from Sanjeevaiah Park and Necklace Road till July 10 from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
