Heritage panel visits Charminar, Chowmahalla

The recently reconstituted Heritage Conservation Committee under the Chairmanship of R.Rajamani and other members on Tuesday inspected the Charminar Heritage Precinct area and also visited the Chowmahalla Palace.

According to a statement issued here by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), the decision to inspect the precinct was taken during the first meeting of the committee held on April 9.

The other members present during the inspection included Sajjad Shahid and Vishwanatham and were received by Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri, MLA, and Zulfikar Ali, former Mayor. The committee also visited other areas around Charminar and reviewed the Building Penalisation Scheme (BPS) cases referred by the GHMC for clearance.
