April 22, 2016 12:00 am | Updated November 17, 2021 01:55 am IST - HYDERABAD:

The Meteorological Department has issued a heat wave warning for the State for the next two days, with the temperature to sizzle between 40 to 45 degrees Celsius. Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Medak, Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Warangal districts might have heat wave-like conditions in isolated places, said a statement here on Thursday.

In its weather forecast for the coming five days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that even though light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur in isolated places across the State, most of the districts in Telangana would record maximum temperatures between 40 to 45 degrees Celsius on Friday and Saturday. From April 23 to 25, however, a dry weather situation is likely to prevail in all the aforementioned districts, said a press release. It added that temperatures in the State have not shown much of a change, and that the highest of 44 degrees Celsius was recorded at Adilabad and Nizamabad.
