Health Minister Dr. C. Laxma Reddy visited Gandhi Hospital on Friday and announced plans to reorganise diagnostic facilities in the hospital at one place.

Noting that several thousand patients visit the hospital on daily basis, it is essential to have comprehensive diagnostic facilities at a centrally accessible place. As of now, the test centres are spread out and movement between various blocks is often taxing for patients.

It was thus decided to opt for a ground floor facility in OP block and create space for all testing facilities by moving out some of existing sections.

Dr. Reddy also called on the Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan on Friday to extend an invitation for the inauguration of an ICU unit at the hospital. The Governor agreed to it and a date for the inauguration is soon to be finalised.
