Several prominent women played Bathukamma with traditional gaiety and fervour at Pragathi Bhavan, the Chief Minister’s residence and camp office complex, here on Saturday. Among those who participated in the festival of flowers included First Lady Vimala Narasimhan, Chief Minister’s wife K. Shobha, US Consul General Katherine B. Hadda, Deputy Chief Minister K. Srihari’s wife Vimala, Deputy Speaker M. Padma Devender Reddy, MP K. Kavitha, Irrigation Minister’s wife T. Srinitha, Women Development Corporation Chairperson G. Sudha Rani and others.
