Rs. 5 crore sanctioned to IAS officers’ body

The State government on Monday sanctioned Rs. 5 crore as grant-in-aid to the Telangana branch of IAS Officers’ Association for providing basic minimum facilities to the IAS Officers Institute being established on 3 acres land behind the Manjeera guest house complex here. The association requested the State government in January this year to sanction Rs. 40 crore for developing and building an exclusive premises for their day-to-day activities as the DGCR Building in which its office was located was taken over by the government.

Later, the government has allotted old SIB office building and the appurtenant land and part of land which is in the Manjeera guest house complex, both aggregating to about 3 acres, to the IAS Officers Institute.
