The GHMC on Thursday took up demolition of 49 structures in different parts of the city.

The process of identifying more dilapidated structures during joint inspections by the GHMC engineers and Town Planning staff across all circles came up with a list of 31 more buildings.

The demolitions carried out included a police outpost at S.N.Colony, Ramachandrapuram, four tiled roof houses at Pedda Cherlapally and compound walls at Mallapur and Attapur.

At Old Feelkhana and Siddiamber Bazar, the ground and first floors of two buildings were also demolished by the GHMC teams.
