Five arrested on charge of human trafficking

The Rachakonda police on Friday arrested five persons on charges of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. ₹1.60 lakh, copies of visa documents and other materials were seized from their possession. Police said that the accused, identified as U. Trimurthulu, Madiki Tathaji, Pothula Dasu, Madhusudhan Reddy Nagar, Goganamanda Rama Rao and Sala Murali, were cheating illiterate people on the guise of job visas to Dubai and other Gulf countries.

Metro rod hits car

A passenger travelling in a taxi had a close call when a steel rod fell from the viaduct of the Hyderabad Metro Rail construction site, at Chaderghat on Friday, piercing the bonnet. Based on complaint lodged by Abdul Aziz, driver of the car, a case of act endangering life or personal safety was registered against L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad.
