Filth strewn near Niloufer Hospital

June 06, 2014 12:49 am | Updated 12:55 am IST

I would like to bring to the notice of all the very unhygienic conditions around the forensic laboratory near Niloufer Children’s Hospital road. Garbage is thrown on the road making it almost impossible to walk. The stench is unbearable as the road comes down from Niloufer Hospital to the common stretch along the Bazaar Guard road. I would request the authorities concerned to better the roads.

Motorists creating problems

The traffic problem in the twin cities is turning from bad to worse. The more the police try to find ways to ease the situation, the more innovative motorists get to circumvent them. Or else, how can one explain two-wheeler riders using footpaths meant for pedestrians? They are also whizzing past through the gap between the bus stop and the bus, impeding passengers. Needless to say, this is only proving dangerous for the bus commuters. Another irritant is the blocking of ‘free left’ by buses and autos. I wish the traffic police would take cognizance of these problems and do some thing to save our bones and time.

Ensure baggage check

At Nampally Railway station entry for MMTS passengers, police officials can be seen scanning the baggage with the help of metal and x-ray scanners. However, many people enter from the exit, avoiding the baggage check though there is a ‘No Entry’ board kept there. I request the railway police and staff to inspect security measures at the station, or else the measures already in place would be of no use.
