Grieving fans of thespian Akkineni Nageswara Rao who wanted to acquire a copy of the thespian’s autobiographical books, were left disappointed as copies were not available at many of the city bookshops.
Two autobiographical narrations of the legendary actor – Nenu Naa Jeevitam and Manasuloni Maata have been a major hit with the fans over the years but on Thursday, those scouting different book houses were forced to return empty-handed.
“I have tried several book stores, but both the books are not available,” rued P. Manikyam, an ardent fan of ANR.
“I want my children to read these books as it will give them a sense of purpose in life and help them understand the importance of frugal living,” said government employee B. Prasad Rao.
Popular stores like Visalandhra Book House said they had been receiving numerous enquiries.
“We have been getting calls since yesterday but the books are out of stock,” one of the managers at the book house said.
