An engineering student of a private college died after falling from the window of his rented portion on the third floor of a building opposite Voltas office in Sanathnagar in the early hours of Friday. The student, Nikhil, partied with three of his roommates on Thursday night. Around 3 a.m., he woke up and went close to a window which was three feet high from the floor. “He was smoking a cigarette. What happened then is not yet clearly known but Nikhil fell off the window,” Sanathnagar Inspector C. Harishchandra Reddy said. His friends woke up to the sound and ran down only to see Nikhil dead.
