“Is the TRS government going for early elections because of its inefficiency to rule the newly-formed State”, asked Telangana Jana Samithi president M. Kodandaram.

Why is the government planning for early polls when the people have given mandate to rule for five complete years, he questioned.

The TJS president was in here to participate in the party district coordinators’ meeting of north Telangana districts on Tuesday. He told mediapersons the TRS government had raised a debate on mid-term elections in the State. But, there should be a debate on why the government wants to go for early polls and it should clarify the reasons for that, he pointed out. He said the mid-term elections come only when the government loses confidence of the people or internal differences of the ruling party. But, the TRS had complete strength with the influx of leaders from other parties, he pointed out. and why again it raised the issue of early polls in the Telangana state, he asked.Alleging that there were several irregularities and flaws in the implementation of the Rythu Bandhu scheme, he said the farmers had opined the scheme benefitted only the rich farmers. He added that the farmers had suggested that the government impose a ceiling of about five acres of land to provide financial assistance under the scheme. He alleged the land records purification done by the revenue authorities had displaced the farmers and made them landless due to errors committed. They would launch intensified agitation for the cause of farmers who were displaced due to errors in the land purification programme. and issuance of pattadar passbooks with mistakes. He also said the TJS would take up membership enrolment drive in villages and constitute committees, mandals and districts. TJS district coordinator Gaade Innaiah and others were also present.
