Yet another drug racket involving Nigerians was busted by the city police with the arrest of six persons, including a Tollywood film director A. Sushanth Reddy, on Wednesday. The police seized 90 grams of cocaine and 40 packets of ganja weighing 10 grams each, six mobile phones and Rs. 10,000 from them.

The accused persons — Rotimi Olusola Kehinde alias Sola (29), Samson Ebuka (24), Uzor Promise Chukwudi (29), Attoh Bosha Kelvin (33) — all Nigeria nationals along with Victor and Patric (who are absconding) were running the drug racket for past few months.

On Tuesday night, the police caught Rotimi while he was selling drug to Sushanth and another person P. Ravi Kumar at Jubilee Hills. Rotimi bought the contraband from his countrymen who are staying in India. “He got it for Rs. 2,000 a gram and sold it at a higher price of Rs. 5,000 per gram,” DCP (west) A Venkateshwera Rao said. The police questioned Sushanth of Nalgonda, who directed a movie Super Star Kidnap , scheduled for release shortly and came to know that the man was allegedly addicted to cocaine after he went to Goa recently.
