A former professor of Urology in NIMS P.V.L.N. Murthy was among the three doctors from Telugu states who had received the prestigious Dr. B.C. Roy National Award from President Pranab Mukherjee at a function held in New Delhi on Tuesday. Dr. Murthy is currently working in the Kamineni Hospitals in the city.
The other two were D. Raghunatha Rao, ex-professor of medical oncology from NIMS and now working in Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Visakhapatnam and P. Raghuram of Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation.
