Justice L. Narsimha Reddy of A.P. High Court released the Telangana Commercial Taxes Gazetted Officers Association’s (TCTGOA) new year diary recently.
Speaking on the occasion, he urged the employees of the commercial taxes department to discharge their duties conscientiously.
He lamented the erosion of values in society, assault on Telugu language, culture and traditions.
MLC Chukka Ramaiah said that the Union government should keep its word on Telangana. In case if it failed to keep the promise, the consequences cannot be predicted, he added.
Later, the association presented a cheque to the trust formed by Namaste Telangana, a Telugu daily for the welfare of families of those who gave up their lives for the cause of Telangana.
TCTGOA president T. Venkateshwarlu informed the gathering that the association was one among the very few service organisations to be recognised by the government.
He maintained that the association would continue to fight against bias, discrimination and injustice against ‘T’ employees and officers of the department.
