Depts asked to follow up issues with Centre

Telangana Chief Secretary S.P. Singh has urged secretaries of all government departments to update and upload the status of pending issues with them regularly to the centralised monitoring system designed by Telangana Bhavan at New Delhi to be taken up with respective Central government ministries.

He chaired a review meeting on the implementation of work and information monitoring system between Telangana Bhavan and various departments/HODs in the State. The system is to monitor and follow up proposals pending before the Centre.

Underscoring the need for utilisation of the facility, he said that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao desires to get more funds from the Centre under various schemes. According to an official release, the system had been designed to ensure that the latest update is made available both ways.

Senior officials of the Departments of General Administration, Home, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Agriculture and Cooperation, Minorities Welfare as well as Resident Commissioner of Telangana Bhavan Aravind Kumar and IG Intelligence Naveen Chand were among those who attended the meeting, the release said.
