The Telangana Chapater of Academy of Family Physicians of India (AFPI) has appealed to the State through its advisor G. Vivekanand to recruit family physicians in government service.

Citing Government’s plan to recruit doctors for the post of civil assistant surgeons in Vaidya Vidhana Parishad, the representation from the chapter argued that family physicians are trained in all aspects of medicine and can serve all members of the community.

The representation also claims that there were more than 50 physicians with requisite qualifications for recruitment.
