December 04, 2014 11:04 am | Updated April 07, 2016 02:40 am IST - HYDERABAD:

A degree student, who was with her companion at a secluded place off the Outer Ring Road, was gang-raped in Hayathnagar, the police said on Wednesday.

The girl hailing from Peddamberpet village had gone to an abandoned structure along with her friend, also an engineering student, on Monday afternoon, when two persons from the same area accosted them. The two men, who were reportedly drunk, beat up the youth and drove him away.

Then they violated the girl and threatened to kill her if she revealed the matter to anyone. On knowing about the incident from others and based on the clues given by the victim, the investigators narrowed down on the suspects and late in the night the two accused, who turned out to be drivers, were picked up.
