August 21, 2014 12:54 am | Updated April 21, 2016 04:30 am IST - HYDERABAD:

The data entry of information compiled during the ‘Intensive Household Survey’ in Telangana, will start on Thursday.

The government has placed at the disposal of data entry operators some 21,000 computers to feed information about 1.06 crore families that participated in the survey.

Two lakh households in the GHMC limits and 44,000 in districts could not be enumerated for logistics reasons. It was informed during a video conference by Principal Secretaries - Raymond Peter and B.P. Acharya - with district Collectors. The Collectors told the senior officials that people who returned to their native villages from Hyderabad and other towns created scenes as they insisted on being enumerated at the cost of tenants to whom the houses were rented out.
