Cyient Q1 net down

IT firm Cyient Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs. 73.97 crore for the quarter that ended in June, a marginal drop compared to the Rs. 75.64 crore the company registered in the same period a year ago.

According to the results announced on Thursday, the total income increased by over 14 per cent to Rs. 830.57 crore (Rs.725.82 crore).

In a press release, managing director and CEO Krishna Bodanapu said the financial performance in the first quarter was in line with “our expectation, both on the top line and the bottom line. This quarter we implemented wage hikes which had an impact on our margins”.
